THE MEDIEVAL WARM PERIOD LIVES!

The climatistas hate the Medieval Warm Period (MWP), when global temperatures were in all likelihood as high or higher than they are today—yet there were no SUVs around to drive up greenhouse gas levels. Which means our current warming may not be unprecedented, and may have more to do with factors besides or in addition to greenhouse gas emissions. So the climatistas have tried to claim that the MWP was a regional phenomenon, limited chiefly to northern Europe.
new study from the Chinese Academy of Sciences suggest the MWP was a much more widespread phenomenon. It used coral reefs and other proxies (including clam shells). The relevant part of the abstract reads:
This composite multi-proxy marine record, together with the reconstructions from mainland China and tropical Western Pacific, indicates that the late Holocene warm periods, the Roman Warm Period (RWP) and Medieval Warm Period (MWP), were prominently imprinted and documented in the climatic and environmental history of the East Asia–Western Pacific region.
There have been other studies that undermine the climatistas attempts to hide the MWP. As the Daily Caller reports:
“This new paper adds further material to the substantial body of real-world proxy evidence establishing that today’s global temperature is within natural ranges of past changes,” Dr. Hong Yan with the Institute of Earth Environment at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
